Tailoring

Imagine having a pair of trousers that fits well and is perfectly constructed with a pattern you can re-use.

What is Good Fit?   You should be comfortable whether you are standing, sitting, walking, or bending. There should not be any wrinkles caused by pulling, or folds from excess fabric.

Understand Basic Ease and Design Ease

Basic ease is just enough added fullness to allow for movement, comfort when sitting, and smooth fit.
Design ease is the amount of exrta fullness added for the design, as in pleats.

Commercial Patterns are developed using sizing charts, but few people fit these standards exactly. This means that in order to get a good fit, you will have to make some adjustments on the pattern.
Once the pattern and fitting adjustments are made on your calico, you will use this calico as your pattern. This new master pattern can be used repeatedly.

During this course you will:
•    You will adjust and adapt a commercial pattern to fit you perfectly.
•     And learn how to professionally construct your trousers
